Chopta is a tiny area of meadows and evergreen forest that is part of the Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand, India. It serves as a starting point for trekking to Tungnath, the third temple of Panch Kedar, which is 3.5 kilometres (2.2 miles) away. Chandrashila, a summit with a height of over 4,000 metres, located 1.5 kilometres (0.93 miles) from Tungnath (13,000 ft).

Chopta is a pristine natural resort nestled in the Uttarakhand Himalayas, with panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan ranges of Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhamba.
