Deer Park is one of Almora’s most popular attractions, with lofty pine trees adding to the area’s rich natural beauty. This park is home to a large number of deer, ferocious Himalayan bears, and wild leopards, all of which can be seen roaming around freely. Furthermore, the location is great for a leisurely stroll during the day.

It’s more of a rehabilitation centre than a zoo with couple rescued Leopards, one Himalayan Black Bear, three different types of deer, one White Deer, and one White (Albino) Rhesus Monkey. The zoo area is quite large, and senior persons may have difficulty descending and climbing to all five enclosures housing diverse species. There is plenty of parking space outside the Zoo. Only come here if you have a lot of time to spare.
