St.  Marys Church in Lansdowne Uttarakhand

St. Mary’s Church, a popular tourist attraction in Lansdowne, was built by Royal Engineers Col. A.H.B Hume. This church’s construction began in 1895 and was completed in 1896. The Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre converted this church into a museum after it was closed in 1947.

St. Mary’s Church is an Anglican church located near Lansdowne’s Tip-In-Top hill point, 2.5 kilometers from Lansdowne Market. With its Victorian-style architecture, this Church is a stunning structure.

It draws a large number of visitors due to its beautiful stained glass windows. It includes a photo gallery and a 10-minute documentary about the history of the Lansdowne and Garhwal Rifles. It is only open on weekends.

The entrance fee is Rs. 10 per person. The audio-visual presentation will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
