Two municipal buildings collapsed due to a cloud burst in the Devprayag district of Tehri and many shops were damaged. The cloud burn has also affected pedestrian bridges, water pipelines and power supply lines, according to reports.

The event took place at 5 pm on Mount Dasharatha, a little far from Devprayag. The incident occurred in the afternoon. The damaged shops include gemstores, computer centres, candies and mechanical stores.

Mahipal Singh Rawat, according to the Devprayag police station SHO, "The cloud burst over the Shanta River caused a massive amount of slush-containing boulders to flood areas along its banks. Two municipal buildings, including Nagar Palika Bhawan, were caved in after the cloud burst struck the rubble."

Also in the cloud burst many shops in the area of Dashrath Danda Parvat were damaged," said the SHO. But there was no loss of life when people moved to safer places because of the same warning.

Home Secretary Amit Shah, on the other hand, spoke to Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Tirath Singh Rawat, who guaranteed the Centre's assistance. Amit Shah told the Uttarakhand that he would receive all necessary help from the Central Government on a telephone call on Tuesday evening.
