2 Tourists from Mumbai Found Frozen to Death in Chamoli

Two visitors’ bodies were discovered atop snow at Gorson Bugyal, near the snow sports destination in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, on Saturday. “Bodies of two tourists have been recovered in the snow at Gorson Bugyal near snow sports destination Auli in Joshimath block of Chamoli, Uttarakhand,” stated Joshimath’s Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Kumkum Joshi.

He went on to say that the dead had been rescued by the local government. He stated that the cause of their deaths is being probed. On Saturday, the two were discovered dead in a snow-covered section of Nanda Devi National Park’s Gorson Bugyal, near Auli. New Year’s revellers have been coming to many regions in Uttarakhand famed for their picturesque beauty for the past few days.
